Lawmakers OK Much deeper Take A Look At Telehealth
The Home on Friday gave final approval to some bill that requires research and suggestions about using “telehealth” in Florida.
Lawmakers happen to be not able to achieve agreement on legislation that will take broader steps to grow telehealth, that involves doctors along with other providers using technology to provide care remotely to patients. For example, supporters say doctors may use technology to look after patients in rural areas which have limited figures of physicians and specialists.
House people voted 118- to approve the balance (HB 7087), that also was unanimously approved Thursday through the Senate. It now would go to Gov. Ron Scott.
Partly, the balance requires creating an advisory council that will make recommendations about growing using telehealth. The council would submit a study towards the governor and legislative leaders.
